Sam Hudek Studio Pinterest Insights ("the App") is a private internal reporting tool used exclusively by Sam Hudek Studio.
The App is not available to the public, and other Pinterest users cannot connect their accounts to it.
Pinterest API access
The App connects to Pinterest through its official API using read-only permissions, including:
boards
pins
user_accounts
The App accesses information relating to the Sam Hudek Studio Pinterest business account only, including:
Basic account information, such as username, account type and follower count
Our own boards and Pins, including titles, descriptions, destination links, creation dates and images
Available aggregate account and Pin analytics, such as impressions, saves, Pin clicks and outbound clicks
This includes Pins from other creators that we have saved to our own boards. The App does not collect personal information about people who view, save or click our Pins. The analytics it uses are aggregate performance statistics provided by Pinterest.
The App does not create, edit or delete Pins or boards, and does not publish content to Pinterest.
How Pinterest data is used
Pinterest data is used for internal business purposes, including:
Monitoring and comparing Pin performance
Maintaining historical reporting records
Understanding which content attracts engagement and outbound traffic
Organising our own Pin images and content for future planning
We may use AI tools, including Anthropic's Claude, to help analyse Pinterest reporting information. When external AI services are used, we aim to share only the information necessary for the analysis.
Pinterest access credentials are not intentionally shared with AI tools. We do not sell Pinterest API data or use it to profile individual Pinterest users.
Pinterest data storage and security
Pinterest reporting information is stored in a private database hosted by Cloudflare. Data collection runs automatically each day on GitHub’s automation service, from a private code repository. Access is restricted to Sam Hudek Studio, and none of this information is publicly accessible. Where we keep copies of our own Pin images, they are stored privately and are not publicly viewable..
API credentials are stored encrypted and are never included in our code or made publicly accessible. We may keep backup copies with a reputable cloud storage provider, protected in the same way.
We retain Pinterest reporting information only for as long as it is needed for our internal business purposes, subject to applicable Pinterest requirements. Information can be deleted when it is no longer required or when use of the App ends.
Access granted to the App can be revoked through the relevant Pinterest account settings.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
Access to personal information is limited to those who require it for legitimate Studio business activities.
Although we take reasonable precautions, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
